The exhibition "The Rhythm of Painting" by Mexican painter Jazzamoart opened at the Beyoğlu 6th District Art Gallery.
The exhibition, titled "The Rhythm of Painting," by Mexican painter Jazzamoart, opened at the Beyoğlu Municipality 6th District Art Gallery. Organized in collaboration with the Mexican Consulate General in Istanbul and Beyoğlu Municipality, the exhibition will welcome art lovers until July 11th. Speaking at the opening, Beyoğlu Municipality Deputy Mayor Sefer Karaahmetoğlu stated that Beyoğlu has been a district that has given life to culture, art, and thought for centuries, adding, "Countless artists have found inspiration here and have contributed works to both the world and our country from here.
We consider it our greatest priority to keep this unique cultural heritage alive and to connect the inspiring spirit of Beyoğlu with new generations." Karaahmetoğlu stated that Jazzamoart is one of Mexico's unique artists, adding, "Our esteemed artist's invaluable works are a visual monument carrying the original improvisation of jazz, the exuberance of colors and sounds. It is very meaningful that this powerful rhythm rising from Mexico resonates in Beyoğlu, which has blended different colors for centuries." He continued, "His works are generally inspired by jazz formats." Mexican Consul General in Istanbul, Alberto Fierro Garza, greeted the participants in Turkish, saying, "June and July are practically music months in Istanbul, with the jazz festivals held. Therefore, we thought it would be very meaningful to share this exhibition by Jazzamoart, shaped by the different rhythms of jazz, with the people of Istanbul today."

Garza noted that Jazzamoart, whose real name is Francisco Javier Vazquez Estupinan, is from the state of Guanajuato, adding: "This state has produced world-renowned artists such as Diego Rivera and Jose Chavez Morado. Unfortunately, Jazzamoart could not attend this exhibition. However, he is greatly honored and pleased that his works are being displayed here. Besides painting, he also works in sculpture and music. His works are often inspired by jazz formats, hence his name. As can be seen in this exhibition, he also reinterprets the works of European artists with his own unique approach. To date, he has held more than 500 exhibitions in Mexico and various parts of the world, and is one of the important representatives of modern Mexican painting."
The selection of the artist's oil paintings on canvas offers a visual musical feast. Jazzamoart transforms the free and unpredictable spirit inherent in music, especially jazz, into a pictorial image; with his gestural brushstrokes and vibrant color palette, he draws viewers into a "celebratory atmosphere." Visitors to the exhibition feel the freedom of jazz improvisation in the brushstrokes, and experience a kind of "seeing the sound" thanks to the layers of color that form a harmonic foundation. The passion, rhythm, and melody within the music take on a plastic form in the artist's hands, creating an intercultural bridge. This special exhibition will continue to welcome visitors at the Beyoğlu Municipality 6th District Art Gallery until July 11th.
