İş Sanat will present Atatürk portraits and works depicting the Great Victory from Türkiye İş Bankası's Art Collection to art lovers on the 103rd anniversary of the Great Offensive.
İş Sanat continues to share special selections from Türkiye İş Bankası's Art Collection with art lovers in Anatolia. The new selection from the Anatolian Exhibitions, "The Great Victory," will be exhibited at the İş Bankası Kocatepe Branch on August 23-24.
To commemorate the 103rd anniversary of the Great Offensive, which began in Kocatepe on the morning of August 26, 1922, and was won under Mustafa Kemal Pasha's command, the "Great Victory" selection will be presented to art lovers at the Kocatepe Branch. Portraits of Atatürk from Türkiye İş Bankası's Art Collection will be accompanied by works depicting the Great Victory.
The exhibition will feature works by Feyhaman Duran, one of the most influential portrait masters of our art history and the 1914 Generation, as well as Ayetullah Sümer, known for his misty and mystical landscapes; Nusret Karaca and Rahmi Pehlivanlı, particularly known for their portraits of Atatürk; Ziya Duru, whose depiction of the Ahır Mountain Offensive during the War of Independence; and Mehmet Aksoy, one of today's influential sculptors.
Anatolian Exhibitions aims to make accessible to all corners of our country works of art, which are of great significance not only for their aesthetic qualities but also for their historical and cultural bearing. Transforming İş Bank branches into temporary art spaces, Anadolu Exhibitions' carefully curated selections are supported by children's workshops and lectures by expert art historians, creating an immersive art experience.
The first stop of Anadolu Exhibitions was the Çal district of Denizli, where the works of İbrahim Çallı were exhibited. A selection of paintings by Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu, Turan Erol, and Yalçın Gökçebağ, titled "Teachers and Students," was exhibited in the Milas district of Muğla. A selection of seascapes from the Türkiye İş Bankası Art Collection, titled "Chasing the Blue," was presented to art lovers in Gallipoli.
