Who is Zafer Dilekçi?

The artist was born in Ankara in 1978. After completing his primary and secondary education in Ankara, he graduated from Erciyes University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting with honors in 2002. In 2006, he completed Kocaeli University, Social Sciences Institute, Art Education Department, Pedagogical Formation Training. He worked as a visual arts teacher in Kocaeli and Ankara between 2005 and 2008, and has been working as a visual arts teacher in Eskişehir since 2008.

Zafer Dilekçi was awarded an honorable mention with his work “Backgammon” in the painting competition organized by Erciyes University in 2002. The artist’s works are included in private collections in Frankfurt, Berlin, Vienna, Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Kayseri, Antalya, Konya, and Nevşehir.

The artist has also been interested in caricature art since 2000 and his caricatures appeared in weekly humor magazines such as Gırgır and Leman. The cartoons of the artist, who also has an award in the cartoon category (Nehar Tüblek Cartoon Competition Cartoonists Association Special Award); He managed to enter more than 20 cartoon catalogs in China, Italy, Azerbaijan and Turkey. The artist has been producing works in the mosaic genre since 1998.
