Who is Yusuf Kemal Çankaya?

He was born in Antalya in 1955. Çankaya, who settled in Ankara after his primary school years, returned to Antalya, the city where he was born, in 1982 and became more interested in painting.

The artist, who started his journey in painting with pattern and watercolor works, used the nostalgic texture of Antalya Kaleiçi and the narrow streets with bay windows typical of the region as the subject of his paintings. In addition, other than architecture, professions and craftsmen that are on the verge of extinction also worked with the watercolor technique.
