The third edition of the contemporary art fair Contemporary Istanbul (CI) Bloom opened its doors to art lovers with a preview.

This year, the fair, which included 568 works of 267 artists with 24 contemporary art galleries, 3 art initiatives and 2 art institutions, started at the Rumeli Hall of Lütfi Kırdar Congress and Exhibition Center.

Speaking to AA correspondent, CI Bloom Director Bike Çetiner stated that new artists and galleries were included in the fair and said, "This year we are organizing the third CI Bloom. We have 24 contemporary art galleries, 3 initiatives and 2 institutions. 3 of our 24 contemporary art galleries are open for the first time." We are experiencing fair experience and we have 6 new young galleries. Last year, we introduced our 4 contemporary art galleries to the art scene for the first time. For this reason, we always aimed to highlight young, new and different art in all future CI Blooms. "We started looking for new galleries and new artists this year, as young galleries and young artists joined the market and attracted a lot of attention from art lovers." said.

Çetiner pointed out that there were three different rooms with interactive works at the fair and said:

"Another innovation is that we created the Digital Art Space on the ground floor. With the reactions of art lovers to the sensors, the works will have different responses to them. Art lovers will experience the ground floor full of experience. At the same time, while we show the youth, dynamism and innovation of contemporary art in Turkey, we can see this only in Turkey." "We aimed to introduce it not only to the international arena. For this purpose, we brought international press and collector groups from abroad. We aimed to bring together the excitement of the arrival of spring and the beautiful atmosphere in Turkey not only with contemporary art but also with the beautiful season of Istanbul."

In its 3rd edition, CI Bloom hosts the Living Things exhibition by media artist Ahmet Said Kaplan in collaboration with DECOL. It offers viewers the opportunity to interactively experience the concept of "living things".
