The POST ANATOLIAN Exhibition Meets Art Lovers at the Troy Museum
The Troy Museum will host a special exhibition that will take art lovers on a unique cultural journey from August 9-13, 2025. Artist Uğur Çalışkan's "POST ANATOLIAN" exhibition brings together works inspired by the deep history of Anatolian civilizations, combining mystical elements and contemporary art.
Inspiration from Anatolia's Ancient Heritage
Artist Uğur Çalışkan explains the origins of the exhibition with the following words:
In the short history of humanity, humanity's struggle with the question of existence began in Anatolia. In his effort to ground his existence on a logical foundation he could trust, he employed science, and in the remaining unsolved points, he employed religious structures as balancing elements in this enigma. The most beautiful layers of these efforts have flourished in Anatolian soil.
Çalışkan draws inspiration from the cultural and aesthetic productions of Anatolian Civilizations, which he observes with systematic knowledge, and blends the mystical stories and symbols of the past with contemporary artistic understanding.
Post-Anachronistic Constructions
The works in the "POST-ANATOLIAN" exhibition are constructed with a "post-anachronistic" approach, as the artist describes it. In other words, the works deliberately disrupt the timeline of the past and present, inviting the viewer on a journey through time that is both historical and emotional. This approach creates both archaeological depth and a contemporary form of expression in the works.
Mystical and Fairytale-Like Atmosphere
The exhibition reinterprets Anatolia's thousands of years of cultural heritage within a fairytale-like and mysterious universe. Works from various disciplines, including sculpture, painting, and installation, offer visitors not only a visual but also an intellectual and emotional experience.
Troy Museum officials state that the exhibition is not only an artistic event but also an opportunity to explore Anatolia's cultural heritage from a different perspective.
5-Day Art Meeting at Troy Museum
The "POST ANATOLIAN" exhibition, which will be held in the Troy Museum Exhibition Hall, opened its doors on August 9th and will welcome visitors until August 13th. The artist will be present at the exhibition area from time to time to discuss his works with visitors.
An Open Invitation for Art Lovers
The Troy Museum invites all art lovers to see this unique exhibition. The museum management emphasizes that the exhibition will appeal to viewers of all ages and will reflect the richness of Anatolian culture through an artistic language.
Uğur Çalışkan's "POST ANATOLIAN" exhibition stands out as a must-see event for both art and history enthusiasts. Combining Anatolia's thousands of years of cultural heritage with contemporary art, this exhibition offers visitors an experience beyond the perception of time and space.
