The painting exhibition titled "The Magic of Watercolor on the Foundation Day", jointly organized by Karabağlar Municipality and the International Watercolor Association, was opened with a ceremony at Karabağlar Yıldız Kenter Culture and Art Center (YKSM). The exhibition, which includes the works of 57 artists, can be visited until February 6.
Karabağlar City Council President Alep Ağrı, Karabağlar Deputy Mayors, Karabağlar Municipal Council members, International Watercolor Association Turkey President Ayşın Keskiner, International Watercolor Association Founder and President Atanur Doğan attended the opening, which attracted great interest from art lovers. Ayşın Keskiner stated that they organized an international painting exhibition on the occasion of the foundation day of the association and said that they continue their work to popularize and spread watercolor.
In his speech, Atanur Doğan, Founder of the International Watercolor Association, expressed his greatest gratitude to Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk for the importance he gave to art, the value he gave to women and the Republic he left behind. Doğan said, “We must strive to make peace with all segments of society and to ensure peace and confidence within ourselves through the unifying role of art. "We would like to thank Karabağlar Municipality and Karabağlar Mayor Muhittin Selvitopu, who was always with the artist," he said.
After the speeches, Karabağlar Deputy Mayor Ayla Sert presented Keskiner with an Eco-Friendly Certificate. At the opening, a cake was cut to commemorate the foundation day of the association. Additionally, a watercolor painting was performed with a live performance.
