The Bahçeşehir College Lara Campus Art Gallery hosted a meaningful gathering today. The group exhibition, themed "The Healing Power of Art," was organized to offer hope to children battling cancer. The exhibition, which will remain open until December 8, 2025, brings together 61 works from diverse disciplines, highlighting the power of art in social solidarity.

The exhibition, led by Project Coordinator Gonca Yazgan, was brought to life in collaboration with numerous artists, civil society organizations, and educational institutions. Participants working in painting, ceramics, sculpture, and traditional Turkish handicrafts dedicated their works to this special cause, becoming part of the solidarity movement.

The most striking aspect of this year's exhibition was the collaboration of many institutions and associations. Among the institutions contributing to the exhibition were:

Fine Arts Association (GÜSAD), Antalya Artists Association (ANSAN), International Culture, Art, Migration and Integration Association (US-DER), NERART IWS, AÜ. GSF, Acapella Art House, Candan Ceramics Studio, TEMA Foundation, and the Association for Research and Study of Women's Social Life. Each organization participated in the exhibition with five participants from its own organization, excluding board members. In this respect, the event is an exemplary project where civil society transforms art into a space for healing and awareness.

The opening ceremony was attended by a large crowd of teachers, students, parents, artists, and civil society representatives. Throughout the exhibition, the stories behind the artists' works were shared, emphasizing the importance of art as a source of both individual and societal healing. Project Coordinator Gonca Yazgan commented on the exhibition:

“This exhibition was created to make children battling cancer feel they are not alone. We believe in the healing power of art and hope that each work will be a beacon of hope.”

The exhibition once again demonstrates the power of civil society organizations to transform art into a tool for awareness and social responsibility. Organized to support children with cancer, this event demonstrated both social awareness and the unifying effect of art, creating a significant example of cultural solidarity in Antalya.
