ATSO President Yusuf Hacısüleyman stated that the works resulting from the "Another Antalya" workshop over the past three years have given the city a new perspective, and that a collection and catalog will be prepared at the end of this three-year period.

Antalya Culture and Arts (AKS), operating under the umbrella of the Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ATSO) Education, Research and Culture Foundation, presented the "Another Antalya 3" exhibition, which brings together the city's historical and cultural heritage with contemporary art, to art lovers. ATSO Board Chairman and ATSO Education, Research and Culture Foundation President Yusuf Hacısüleyman hosted the opening ceremony.

Masters are once again producing for Antalya

In the "Another Antalya 3" exhibition, the historical, cultural, and traditional structure of the city is interpreted through the language of contemporary art in the works prepared within the framework of the workshop. This year's selection features works by master artists such as Yalçın Gökçebağ, Mahir Güven, Hasan Pekmezci, Şükran Pekmezci, Gürbüz Doğan Ekşioğlu, Hayri Esmer, Gülten İmamoğlu, Rahmi Atalay, Barkın Coşkun, and Furkan Depeli. The exhibition aims to offer visitors a new perspective on Antalya, encompassing a wide range of works from canvas paintings to sculptures.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Yusuf Hacısüleyman, President of the Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ATSO), stated that the exhibition follows the vision of the late Ali Bahar in the field of culture and art. Hacısüleyman said, "Thanks to the 'Another Antalya' exhibitions, we witness how both those living here and artists looking at the city from outside see Antalya. The valuable works of our master artists in the fields of sculpture and painting offer a perspective that goes beyond the well-known faces of Antalya; sometimes critical, sometimes romantic, but always valuable."

In his speech, Hacısüleyman emphasized that the exhibition was the product of three years of work, saying, "I thank our artists for their efforts and for bringing these works to us. I would also like to state that we will make the works that emerged at the end of our three-year journey permanent with a collective collection and catalog. I hope that our exhibition will contribute to the city's culture, art life, and our efforts to think about Antalya's future together."

Carrying the Heritage into the Future

Curator Prof. Mustafa Ağatekin, drawing attention to the importance of the exhibition in terms of the city's memory, said that art is one of the most powerful forms of expression in carrying the historical and cultural heritage of cities into the future. Ağatekin stated that the works produced within the framework of the "Another Antalya" workshops made the values ​​that Antalya possesses visible, and expressed his belief that the distinguished works included in the exhibition will contribute to the city's cultural and artistic accumulation.
