'Simulacra' exhibition, where the real and the virtual are intertwined, opened its doors - Istanbul News

A JOURNEY BETWEEN VIRTUAL AND REAL

The 'Simulacra' exhibition offers an art experience that explores the boundaries of reality and the virtual world. In the exhibition, which includes Aslı Özer, Civan Aydın, Loya Kader Öztürkmen, Nilüfer Topal, Sezayi Aydın, Taha Üstündağ, 54 works from 7 artists from various disciplines meet art lovers.

In the exhibition, the experience created by the artists with the combination of realistic figures and mysterious details takes the audience on an emotional journey. Inspired by Jean Baudrillard's work 'Simulacra and Simulation', the exhibition focuses on the idea of creating a copy that is almost indistinguishable from reality and building its own "reality". It aims to discover the power of human emotion to understand and give meaning by making the audience ask questions about whether what is happening is real or whether the virtual world is an imposed reality-like world of illusion. The exhibition thus aims to combine Baudrillard's philosophical perspective with a visual experience, allowing viewers to question their own perceptions and consider the fine line between simulation and reality.

THE INCOME RECEIVED FROM THE WORKS OFFERED FOR SALE CONTRIBUTE TO SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY PROJECTS

The income obtained from the works offered for sale in the exhibition is transferred to the Turkish Human Resources Education and Health Foundation (TIKAV), established by Akfen Holding, and contributes to the social responsibility projects of the foundation.

With this exhibition, Loft Art presents the boundaries of reality and the virtual world to the audience. Ayşe Jaber is the Art Director of Loft Art, which is under the responsibility of TİKAV Board Member Dilara Akın.
