Artin Demirci's first exhibition in six years is at Red Rouge Art... His first solo exhibition in six years, titled "Inside Black, Inside White, and Other Paths," will be open to art lovers from January 10–31, 2026. The exhibition brings together more than fifty selected works from Artin Demirci's years of production, offering an abstract journey dominated by black, white, and gray tones. Enriched with occasional colorful transitions, this selection treats monochrome not only as an aesthetic but also as a conceptual and intellectual space.
Inviting the viewer on a layered visual journey created by black abstractions, gray tones, and colorful transitions, the exhibition features monochrome spaces interrupted by colorful interludes. Color—or lack thereof—appears not merely as an aesthetic choice but as a conceptual, cultural, and political space for inquiry. In this respect, the exhibition suggests deviating from the main paths and entering the still-existing "trails."
Demirci, a graduate of the Painting Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Mimar Sinan University, develops a layered and spatially profound painting language with the strong drawing discipline he acquired in the workshops of Neşet Günal and Neşe Erdok.
In Artin Demirci's practice, painting is more than an object produced for exhibition; it is the re-discovery of a reality that time tries to conceal, through a persistent excavation. Instead of deconstructing abstract forms, the artist focuses on constructing them, handling color, surface, and light with his own unique balance. Different textures, linear grids, and organic paint splashes create a powerful visual rhythm that keeps the viewer's eye constantly moving across the canvas.
"Inside Black, Inside White, and Other Paths," in Red Rouge Art's new space, serves as a powerful invitation to explore the still-undiscovered paths of painting.
