The Kocaeli University Faculty of Fine Arts' Antre Art Gallery hosted Prof. Dr. İsmail Keskin's solo exhibition, "Original Printmaking (Lithography) Exhibition." The opening ceremony, which was well-attended, brought together academics, art lovers, and students.
The exhibition, featuring works produced using lithography, reflects the artist's many years of research and practical experience. Keskin reinterprets lithography, considered the forerunner of modern printing technologies, with contemporary form and narrative language, presenting a unique aesthetic understanding that balances the traditional and the innovative. The works in the exhibition stand out with their rhythmic surface movements, use of contrasting colors, non-geometric formal arrangements, and linear textures. In these works, the artist explores the relationship between form and motif within an aesthetic structure he describes as "new embroidery abstractions." Prof. Dr. İsmail Keskin was born in Osmancık, Çorum, and graduated from the Graphics Department of the Painting Department at Marmara University. He conducted research and studies at the art academies of Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Münster, and Kassel in Germany. He specialized in lithography for five years in the Studio of Prof. Jochen Kastrup at the Visual Communication Department of the State Academy of Arts at Kassel University.

Keskin, who has been working at Kocaeli University since 2005, continues his work as a faculty member in the Graphic Design Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts and serves as the head of the same department. The artist has held 19 solo exhibitions to date, five of which were held abroad, and was awarded first prize in a competition held to honor the 100th anniversary of the Republic.
The exhibition will be open to art lovers at the Kocaeli University Faculty of Fine Arts Antre Art Gallery from October 16 to November 21, 2025.
