Who is Ümit Parsıl? (1978-Kahramanmaraş)Born in 1978 in Kahramanmaraş, he completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Kahramanmaraş, and his higher education at Kütahya Dumlupınar University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting, graduating with high honors as the top student of his department, he immediately completed his pedagogical formation training at Mersin University, Faculty of Education. He completed his postgraduate education at Gazi University, Institute of Fine Arts, Department of Combined Arts, and later at Kırıkkale University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Painting. He worked as a Painting/Visual Arts Teacher in schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education for many years. He has two books published nationwide, “Visual Perception” and “Creativity in Art”, and has written 297 articles and 29 book chapters, including art writings and articles related to his field. He has edited 16 books and 1 magazine so far, served as a jury member 10 times in painting competitions, 8 of which were national and 2 of which were international. He has taken part in 6 personal and 395 mixed exhibitions, and curated 5 mixed and personal exhibitions. He continues to write art articles in local/general newspapers and magazines, works as an art consultant in three art and literature magazines published nationwide, and has conducted and published interviews on art with 173 Artists-Academicians so far. He worked as a lecturer in Adıyaman University Technical Sciences Vocational School, Department of Handicrafts, and at the same time, he was the Head of the Design Department in Technical Sciences Vocational School. After working as a lecturer in Adıyaman University Fine Arts Faculty, Department of Painting (in accordance with Article 13/b-4 of Law No. 2547) for 4 years, he voluntarily returned to his former place of duty, Adıyaman University Technical Sciences Vocational School, Department of Handicrafts.Art Perspective;While today’s man is breaking away from external nature, he is also turning his back on the subconscious that represents his inner nature, instead of eliminating existing images with an iconoclastic action, he is manufacturing images and thus, while being dragged into a situation where he cannot go further than manufacturing a plethora of fiction where there is nothing to see, he is condemning himself to live in a barren universe. Believing that those who pursue artistic creation should benefit from the limitless energy of the subconscious, Parsıl, on the one hand, deals with the symbols of traditional culture, on the other hand, as a person of art of the modern age, he makes journeys to the depths of his own subconscious piece by piece, trying to show the traces of this journey he has made in a color, a curve, a trace.
