  Who is Suzan Turhan Onuk? (1996-Adıyaman)She was born in 1996 in Gölbaşı district of Adıyaman. After completing her primary and secondary education in Gölbaşı, she continued her high school education at Adıyaman Anatolian Fine Arts High School. In 2014, she was accepted to the Painting and Art Education Department of İnönü University in Malatya. After completing her 4-year undergraduate education, she started her Master’s degree in Painting at the Social Sciences Institute of İnönü University between 2018-2019 and graduated in 2022. From the moment she stepped into the world of art, she participated in many events and exhibitions. Among these are; 2020 T.C. Suzan TURHAN ONUK has received the “Exhibition Award” in the Ministry of Culture and Tourism’s Young Art 6 project titled “Geography is Destiny,” the “Exhibition Award” in the 2022 Yaşar Education and Culture Foundation’s 39th Dyo Painting Awards Competition, and finally, the “Achievement Award” in the 2023 Mersin Metropolitan Municipality’s 100th Anniversary of the Republic Painting Competition. Currently residing in Malatya, Suzan TURHAN ONUK continues her artistic work in the studio she established in her own home.Artistic Perspective: In the artist’s works, the concepts of nature, existence, and time are generally prominent. Especially in her artwork, she explores the difference between “looking and seeing,” listening to the rhythm of the world, and questioning the individual’s place in the universe. The artist, who incorporates fingerprints into her works, combines them with forms from nature, embarking on a quest for personal identity.
