Who is Şükran Zaim? (1955-Kosovo)Born in Mitrovica, Kosovo in 1955.Completed BA and MA in Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Pristina. Finished law school at the same university.
Continues her artistic career in her own studio in Istanbul since 1992.Art Perspective:Anthropomorphic signs are handled with an expressive, folded and often grotesque aesthetic. My figures touch upon the fragility of human existence, the search for cooperation and the folds of collective memory through bodies that appear formally dissolved or molten. Color and texture are not just surfaces, but carriers of emotions and thoughts—they are observed seemingly randomly, shaped by the unconscious. In her compositions, the figure ceases to be representative; the transformation of the theater into an undefined but known subject in a space. This approach will result in the growth rate of the form reducing the subsequent psychic and sociocultural load. Awards:
