  Who is Salih Yön? (1965-Burdur)Born in 1965 in Çeltikçi, Burdur. Graduated from the Air Force Technical School Command in İzmir in 1983 (Associate Degree) Anadolu University (Bachelor’s Degree) in 1987 Worked in Ministries in Ankara for 17 years, from 1983 to 2000. Served as a member of the Selection Committee in National Aviation Painting Competitions and National and International Exhibitions from 1998 to 2020. Appointed as a Painting Teacher at the 5th Main Jet Base Command Painting Workshop from 2000 to 2003. Founded ATAÇAĞ Art Center in 2000. (He restored an old two-story building entirely with his own resources, thus creating the first “Private Art Center” in Amasya-Merzifon’s history.) In 2003, one year before his retirement, he resigned from his painting teaching position and settled in Antalya. In 2004, he established the Salih Yön Art House (Gallery & Workshop) in Antalya. In 2007, he gave a conference at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Afyon Kocatepe University. In 2009, he also opened his private workshop in Cologne, Germany. (He continued his artistic activities here for 10 years. 2009 ART FORUM Ankara 5th Art Fair 2009-2013 He served on the jury of the 46th, 47th, 49th and 50th Golden Orange Film Festival. 2010 He moved SALİH YÖN ART GALLERY to its own 2-story space. He opened one floor as an Art Gallery and Workshop, and the other floor as a “Private Ethnography Gallery” with the distinction of being the first of its kind in Antalya. 2011 He was selected as the European Artist of the Week (Public Republic Artist of the week). 2011 He served as the Art Director of the film “Lost Time”. 2013 He participated as a panelist in the “International Plastic Arts Panel” organized by Akdeniz University. 2015-2020 “Colours Of Doukkala” Hand Jadida-FAS participated in the Painting Workshop, the Cyprus Museum of Modern Art Workshop, and many International Painting Workshops. In 2015, she gave a lecture to Master’s students at the Akdeniz University Institute of Fine Arts on the topic of “Art in Our Society and the Laws of Art Development”. 2016 ARTANKARA 2nd Contemporary Art Fair.2017 ARTANKARA 3rd Contemporary Art Fair. For 5 years, she has been the Main Sponsor and Curator of the "International Painting Camp and Art Colony" Art Workshop, and she continues this activity with the aim of bringing an "Ethnography Museum" and a "Painting and Sculpture Museum / Contemporary Art Museum" to the community. In 2017-2018, she spearheaded the creation of art streets at Karaman TED College and Antalya Rixos The Land of Legend. He has been curating the "National Antalya Artists Meeting" for 8 years since 2020. In 2023, he launched the "Summer Artistic Workshop" in Çeltikçi and continues his art activities uninterruptedly in the Art Gallery in Antalya during the winter and in the Summer Artistic Workshop during the summer. Painter Yön is a member of AGSAD (Anatolian Visual Arts Association) and GESAM (Fine Arts Works Owners Professional Association), and served as the President of GÜSAD (Fine Arts Association) for 4 years in Antalya, as a Jury Member and President of the State Fine Arts Gallery for 5 years, as the President of the Antalya City Council Culture and Arts Department for 5 years, and is a founding member of the Antalya Film Commission and the Second President of the GESAM Antalya Branch. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Ankara Bar Association Artificial Intelligence Law Center. Painter Salih Yön has chosen "Art as a Way of Life" and his Life Philosophy is "To transform the place he lives into art He adopted the motto "to make it more livable" and has dedicated his entire life to this cause, as an "Art Soldier," continuously from 1976 to the present day. He has held 40 solo exhibitions and participated in more than 200 group and mixed exhibitions.Awards: 1998 OYAK Painting Competition Award 2011 European Artist of the Week Award.
