  Who is Recep Tayyip Aksu? (1996-Ankara)Recep Tayyip Aksu is an artist whose practice is interdisciplinary. Born in Ankara in 1996, Aksu completed his primary and secondary education there and was accepted to the Painting Department of Akdeniz University’s Faculty of Fine Arts in 2015. During his undergraduate studies, the artist produced numerous works using a variety of technical and thematic approaches, participating in numerous group exhibitions. Graduating from the department as an honors student in 2020, Aksu continues his artistic production in Ankara. His artistic practice is shaped by individual memory, spatial experience through installations that break free from boundaries, and contemporary visual and cultural contexts.Art Perspective;Aims to explore the multifaceted meanings of an ordinary box and the individual depths of the box in the human eye. He aims to transcend the boundaries of boxes and create a new field of expression. Boxes; While often known for their functions of preservation, protection, and boundary-setting, the artist explores their metaphorical meanings, their roles in our lives, and their emotional resonances through these works. Fragmented spaces are notable in her works. These spaces represent mental and physical constrictions, different lives, and transitions and internal divisions, along with interwoven themes. Realistic figurative narratives are encountered, while abstraction is encountered. Reta establishes an intellectual foundation for art’s place in the public sphere. By combining different media such as painting, installation, and mural, she engages with both individual and collective memory.
