Büyükparmaksız encourages the viewer to constantly question by using geometric and abstract forms with an abstract expressionist attitude in his works that have a multi-layered structure from a philosophical perspective. In this context, the artist deals with the concepts of the individual’s inner world, internal conflicts, alienation brought about by modern life, loneliness, social pressures and problems, existential themes and uncertainty, emptiness, destruction and reconstruction in his works. These themes include social criticism. In these works of the artist that have psychological effects, colors, shapes and images are of great importance. These shapes, colors and images allow the viewer to interpret their visual perception as an abstract narrative tool. In addition to traditional painting techniques (such as oil and acrylic), the artist creates different textures on the canvas using different materials. Instead of depicting figures in a realistic manner, the artist starts from pieces that remind him of them, and the figures, human faces and bodies become a metaphorical means of expression.
