  Who is Dünya Dural? (1985-Istanbul)Born in Istanbul in 1985, he graduated from the Department of International Relations at Kocaeli University. He has studied art history and Byzantine art. He worked as a gallery manager at Düş Yolcusu Sanat Durağı (Dream Traveler Art Stop). He worked with archaeologist Ufuk Baş Arığ on "Megalithic Cultures" in the Archaeology workshop. He served as an editor for Heyyamola Publications' Roman Kahramanları magazine. He has participated in numerous group exhibitions and workshops. He continues to develop his work in his Maltepe studio.Art Perspective:I reinterpret the traces left by destruction and loss in social memory. I address the broader masses that society has experienced and is exposed to, with reference to the modernist tradition in art history. The sketches I create in my mind, combined with my knowledge and experience, distort and break them throughout the process, creating layers and layers of traces in my work.I enjoy combining abstract and figurative elements in my paintings. Once abstraction begins, a work transforms into a space searching for its figure. These transitions are about making visible the negative spaces between memory and identity.My production process and system operate within frameworks that are constantly reshaping each other; where I explore, confront, and redraw material possibilities.
