Who is Aslı Bilgi? (2003-Ankara)Aslı Bilgi was born in Ankara in 2003. She completed her secondary education at Çağrıbey Anatolian High School. In 2022, she was admitted with distinction to the Painting Department at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University.During her fourth year of study, she participated in numerous exhibitions and, together with a four-person team, realized “Çıktı’k”, the first independent student group exhibition in the history of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. She currently continues her education in Erdal Kara’s studio. Her practice encompasses oil painting, acrylic painting, and printmaking, with a particular focus on gravure techniques.Art Perspective;Aslı Bilgi (b. 2003) investigates the effect of deformed anatomy’s create on the surface she works upon. What she seeks within this effect is the response that emerges from the body’s capacity to retain the records of emotions and experiences. In her practice, the artist does not approach the figure as a structure whose anatomy must be preserved. Instead, she treats the body as a field that can be dissolved, fragmented, and reconstructed. These fragmented figures, layered over one another, distance the image from a fixed narrative. The composition emerges through the body’s response to that which cannot be expressed outwardly.A recurring image throughout the artist’s works is the form of the hand, which often remains more clearly visible among the dissolving and intertwining figures. For the artist, the hand is not merely an anatomical detail; it is a space where touch, direction, grasping, withdrawal, and the tension between figures become visible.Selected Exhibitions;-Women’s Time (Kadın Zamanı) – Group Exhibition – 2026 – (Istanbul) -Çıktı’k – Group Exhibition – 2026 – (Istanbul – Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University) -3rd IAAF – Artists of the Future Program – Group Exhibition – 2026 – (Izmir) -Fragments (Fragmanlar) – Competition Exhibition – 2026 – (Istanbul) -Süreyya Ağaoğlu Art Awards – Competition Exhibition – 2026 – (Istanbul) -Ninecim Young Generation Painting Exhibition – Group Exhibition – 2026 – (Bursa) -Threshold’26 (Eşik’26) – Group Exhibition – 2026 – (Istanbul)
