Making statements at the event, Painting Artist Süleyman Saim Tekcan said, “I saw a changing Trabzon. Good education is needed. Differences emerge from the information we perceive and send to our brains. I define an artist as a different person. Being from Trabzon is very important. We held the 4th Trabzon Passage Exhibition in Istanbul. We talked about whether we should hold a Trabzon artists exhibition at the meeting. No, let it not be like that, there are such valuable teachers who trained us but are not from Trabzon that we held 4 exhibitions called Trabzon Passage Exhibition so that they could be there. It was an exhibition with few examples in the world. Compare Trabzon artists with all the cities in the country today, no other city has raised so many artists. Trabzon needs a museum. Trabzon needs a giant painting and sculpture museum. The art house has undergone a beautiful restoration, we can turn it into a museum. Only if the artists who passed through Trabzon donate a work, which I would do. There is still work to be done.

Trabzon Plastic Arts Association President Hasan Fehmi Hızal said, “Painting and sculpting, which are part of art, are also teachers. He has a gallery that provides a presentation environment for artists. He currently has a gallery in Kuzguncuk. In addition to our teacher’s merits, we need to add museum management. He is a teacher who has been working in the art of printing for years. He has trained young people in the art of printing and has printed the works of important artists of printing arts and has made the work of a caricature artist as a print. He is a teacher who has contributed to the art life in Turkey. As artists from Trabzon, I see him as one of the artists I will visit in Istanbul.”
