The movie You, I Am Lenin will also be shown
According to T24, the Lenin statue that washed up on the shore of Akçakoca in 1993 and aroused great curiosity after disappearing, has emerged after many years. The premiere of the movie You, I Am Lenin, inspired by the story of the statue’s disappearance, had not been allowed to be held in Akçakoca before. However, with the statue being found again, the movie, written by Barış Bıçakçı and Tufan Taştan and directed by Tufan Taştan, will also be shown at the amphitheater in the district on June 21.
"The statue of Lenin also looks set to leave its mark on Akçakoca's 21st century"
When Akçakoca Mayor Fikret Albayrak first took office, his attempts to display the statue were unsuccessful. With the unveiling of the statue, Albayrak said, "Lenin left his mark on the 20th century, and the statue of Lenin also looks set to leave its mark on Akçakoca's 21st century."
Director Tufan Taştan said that he had not been able to see the statue in his previous attempts and said, "We will be in Akçakoca with our film crew and experience this magical day together. That's why we are very excited."
