
Who is Hikmet Çetinkaya? (1958-Konya)
He graduated from Gazi University, Gazi Faculty of Education, Department of Painting in Ankara in 1982.
In 2002, he opened an art house called Arc-En-Ciel Maison D’art Paris in France and participated in artistic activities for 5 years. Since 2013, he has been simultaneously pursuing his artistic work in his studio in Ankara and his studio in Toronto, Canada.
He participated in art symposiums in Bulgaria (Varna-Plovdiv), Austria (Pöchlarn), Canada (Montreal-Ottawa-Toronto), Kyrgyzstan (Bishkek), Australia (Canberra), Taiwan (Taipei), and Malta (Valletta), presenting live performances and giving seminars.
He has held a total of 168 solo exhibitions, 56 of which were abroad (America, Canada, Germany, Russia, Austria, France, Sweden, China, Australia, Greece, Bulgaria, Kyrgyzstan, Serbia, Malta, Taiwan, Cyprus). Having discovered oil painting in 1976, Çetinkaya has contributed over 30,000 works to the art world with his brush, which he has held in his hand for 50 years. He is a member of the International Association of Plastic Artists.

• The exhibition space in the NAZIM HİKMET CONGRESS & ART CENTER, built by the Yenimahalle Municipality of Ankara, was named "HIKMET ÇETİNKAYA EXHIBITION AREA," giving the artist the greatest award of his life.
