Hasan Mutlu

Who is Hasan Mutlu? (Yozgat 1957-)

He was born in Sorgun (Yozgat) in 1957. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Sorgun. In 1975, he worked on cartoons and illustrations in various national magazines. He graduated from the Gazi Education Institute painting department in 1980. He started working at the Ankara State Painting and Sculpture Museum in 1980. He worked on painting restoration at the Istanbul Painting and Sculpture Museum in 1981. He won a French state scholarship and went to Paris in 1984. He conducted theoretical and practical studies on painting restoration, conservation and museum studies in France. He conducted research on painting restoration and museum studies in various countries. He participated in numerous national and international art events. He served as a manager and jury member of European and Asian art biennials, hundreds of domestic and international exhibition organizations.

His works are in many private collections in Turkey and abroad, including the Ankara and Izmir State Painting and Sculpture Museums, Bodrum Museum, Bishkek Museum, İş Bank, Halk Bank, Prime Ministry, Ministry of Finance, Middle East Public Institute. The artist continues his artistic life in his own workshop in Istanbul.
