Who is Harun Kaya (1980-Adana)
Born in Adana, he completed his primary and secondary education in Adana. He completed his education at the Sculpture Department of Mersin University, Faculty of Fine Arts between 2003-2007. He received Pedagogical Formation training at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in 2011. He graduated from the Department of Painting and Crafts Teaching at Çukurova University between 2016-2018.
In 2003, he founded his own Köprü Art Culture and Art Center in Adana and continues to teach painting and continues his work in the same studio.
Art Perspective;
Humanism, one of the basic principles of the Renaissance, emphasizes the human figure and individuality, therefore I adopt a humanist approach by giving importance to personal expression, depth of character and naturalness in female portraits.
I was mostly influenced by artists such as Caravaggio and Leonardo Da Vinci in my paintings. I try to portray figures in a voluminous and dramatic way with the Chiaroscuro technique.
I have been influenced by Leonardo Da Vinci’s Sfumato technique in my paintings and have included it in my work, and I have emphasized achieving a more natural expression in my portraits by softening the color transitions.
