Who is Halil Akkurt?

Halil Akkurt, who drew the most realistic picture of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey, is also a ney artist. Let’s briefly get to know Halil Akkurt, who performs recitals with ney in the exhibitions, social environments and professional organizations he attends:

He was born in 1945 in Dağyolu village of Erzurum-Narman District. He studied primary school in Narman and secondary school in Oltu. While he was working as a civil servant in Ankara, he increased his knowledge on this subject by taking painting lessons. He opened his first personal painting exhibition in Ankara in 1974. He started making large-sized posters since 1986. The painting workshop is in Ankara.
