Painter Gülseren Südor's solo exhibition "Timeless & Spaceless," featuring works produced over the past year, highlighting nature as a special element by imbuing it with symbolic meaning, will be on display at Galeri Diani from November 8-29.
Gallery Diani begins the first of a series of exhibitions showcasing prominent painters representing the Republican women with Gülseren Südor's solo exhibition "Timeless & Spaceless." The exhibition is curated by Telga Südor Mendi, with whom she collaborated on her retrospective exhibition a year ago.
Gülseren Südor, also known as a time traveler and timekeeper, specifically states that this time, she prepared by focusing on a different period in her life: "In this exhibition, I created, as if writing my own biography, I examined the impact of nature's presence on humanity's past and future lives, as well as the positive and negative impacts humanity has on nature. My aim in creating the equivalent of each composition was to re-construct what nature and life offered me, twisting and turning it in my own inner solitude so that it wouldn't become a frozen, static scene. In my exhibited works, I consciously took care not to reflect nature precisely, but to achieve a result, remaining faithful to it, particularly from my own inspirations. In short, I created autonomous compositions that are not tied to the concepts of time and space, based on what I've seen and internalized in nature and my own life, and what impressions I've gained." Gülseren Südor, a pioneer of the Indian ink screening technique in her works for many years, will be exhibiting her works inspired by life and nature in the exhibition "Timeless & Spaceless" at Galeri Diani until November 29, 2025, excluding Sundays and Mondays.
