One of the most special stops of the Turkey Culture Road Festivals, which is one of the longest-running festivals in the world and is held in 11 provinces in 100 days, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, is the Beyoğlu Culture Road Festival, and one of the most special stops of this festival is AKM. Atatürk Cultural Center will host five different exhibitions during and after the Beyoğlu Cultural Road Festival.

Five exhibitions at AKM await art lovers

The main center of the Beyoğlu Culture Road Festival, which is held for the 4th time this year and is the emergence route of the Turkey Culture Road Festivals, is the Opera Hall with a capacity of 2040 people, the Theater Hall with a capacity of 781 people, the gallery of 410 square meters, designed with advanced technological equipment, where the heart of art beats. AKM welcomes art lovers throughout the year with its Music Platform, Multi-Purpose Hall, specially designed library and Yeşilçam Cinema.
Concerts, free exhibitions, talks and events take place at the Atatürk Cultural Center, which is one of the main event venues of the Beyoğlu Culture Road Festival, which will last until October 15. From the magnificent performances of Istanbul, Mersin and Samsun State Opera and Ballet, to Turkish Folk Music, Kerem Görsev, Ceza and famous names of Turkish Pop music, to foreign artists coming from abroad to the festival as guests, AKM halls are enlivened.

IN MEMORY OF BALKAN NACI İSLİMYELİ
The painter, poet, thinker and academician Prof. we lost in 2022. Balkan Naci İslimyeli is commemorated with the exhibition of his works published by Epsilon Publishing House and his works included in the books, held at AKM within the scope of the Beyoğlu Culture Road Festival. The exhibition, curated by Gülfem Dedeoğlu, opened on September 30 as part of the Beyoğlu Culture Road Festival and can be visited until October 15. This exhibition, which can be called a reflection of İslimyeli's literary works, includes selections from Balkan Naci İslimyeli's collections "Scissors-Psycholage", "Nothing is Everything", "History of Oddities" and "Dream Paintings".
DISCOVERING RENAISSANCE DREAMS IN ISTANBUL

Refik Anadol's "Renaissance Dreams" digital exhibition, which consists of visual data of millions of works of art produced between the 14th and 17th centuries, has been exhibited in the most special venues of Turkey so far within the scope of the Turkey Culture Road Festivals. “Renaissance Dreams” meets art lovers at the Church of the Virgin Mary in Cappadocia, at the Turkish Archeology and Cultural Heritage Institute in Gaziantep, at CSO ADA Ankara in the Capital and now at the Atatürk Cultural Center, the apple of Istanbul's eye.

ORIGINAL WORKS PRODUCED BY 100 ARTISTS
The exhibition opened at AKM within the scope of the Beyoğlu Culture Road festival commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Republic includes original works produced by 100 artists. In the exhibition, where 256 works could be seen, painting and sculpture works, values such as co-existence, social harmony, tolerance, respect, cooperation and empathy were discussed.
Curator of the exhibition, Beste Gürsu, brought together 100 artists from different generations and different disciplines of contemporary art within the scope of the project. Gürsu said, “All of our artists produced anonymous works, not works belonging to any celebrity. "This best shows us the maturity of their art and the identities they want to reflect," he says. The exhibition will be open to art lovers free of charge at AKM Gallery until October 30.

ANDY WARHOL IS AT BEYOĞLU CULTURAL ROAD FESTIVAL WITH ALL HIS COLORS
The "Andy Warhol-Istanbul" exhibition, which includes the works of Andy Warhol, one of the most influential names of twentieth century contemporary art and the pioneer of the Pop Art movement, was organized by the Istanbul Lale Museum, T.R. It meets with art lovers at AKM with the contributions of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. 10 works in the Andy Warhol-Istanbul exhibition, which was opened to visitors at the Istanbul Tulip Museum in Emirgan, Istanbul, are exhibited at the Atatürk Cultural Center as part of the Beyoğlu Culture Road events. The preparations for the exhibition, which was pre-opened with 10 works within the scope of the festival, took a year. Curator of the exhibition, Nurgül Şerefe, said about the exhibition: “Andy Warhol is a person who took the definition of art out of its traditional patterns and transformed it into a completely different perspective in an environment where society unites with art. In this sense, I find it very meaningful and important for the exhibition to take place in the Beyoğlu Culture Road Festival. Because Turkey Culture Road Festivals act with the aim of bringing art to all segments of society,” he says.

PHOTOS FROM THE ATATURK PERIOD MEET WITH ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
In the digital installation "Construction of a Dream", prepared by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism specially for the 100th anniversary of the Republic, for the first time, specially selected photographs from the Ataturk period from the archives of the Republic Museum are brought to life again by combining them with artificial intelligence technology.
