Art Perspective;
We are going through a process where art is dehumanized both in form and essence and physically distanced from people. For this reason, I believe that trying to proceed on the basis of human existence and quests in art is more meaningful and necessary than ever.
I am going through a process where I cannot predict what will come across me on the canvas, where there are both obstacles and surprises, and where I walk alone. In this journey that transforms me based on the concrete connections I have established with life, I aim to find the simplest forms and colors specific to me and follow them. Those who know how even the smallest discovery in art excites people also know how difficult it is to achieve this. I think that search and discovery are an effort that should never end for the artist. I believe that this effort, which can only be sustained with sincerity and hard work, is a great source of happiness. In my works, I create my paintings with the traditional painting (peinture) approach that values the beauty of paint and brush, without compromising on the pictorial language and pattern. I shape the figures I determine with the randomness of the brush, the contrast of light and dark, using a spotty approach and a simple language. I work on the subjects I focus on for a long time and create series of paintings. Each painting opens the way for me to another painting and drags me along. Animal figures are among the subjects I have focused on in recent years. It can be said that especially black cats and flamingos are elements of my artistic pursuits and that I aim to create questions in the viewer about the relationship between humans and nature with these figures, which I think reflect features such as simplicity, elegance and balance.
