Art Perspective:
The artist’s practice approaches the human figure as a primary carrier of psychological, emotional, and existential states. Within this body of work, the figure is not treated merely as a bodily representation, but as a field through which consciousness, memory, and inner experience become visible. In this sense, the artist’s production constitutes an ongoing research process focused on human fragility, internal conflict, and the layered structure of the psyche.
In the artist’s works, the figure is addressed not as a generator of singular meaning, but within a multi-layered and open structure. Themes such as fragmentation, the search for identity, solitude, and inward reflection emerge indirectly within the paintings. This approach avoids fixing the narrative to a specific concept, instead allowing space for interpretation on the part of the viewer. The human body is thus conceived as a surface upon which multiple layers of meaning intersect.
The traditional discipline of painting acquired through academic art education—particularly knowledge of figure and drawing—forms the formal foundation of the artist’s practice. However, this foundation is not employed to perpetuate a historical tradition; rather, it is transformed to articulate the psychological and existential conditions of contemporary human experience. In this respect, the work establishes an expressive field that brings together the technical framework of figurative tradition and the conceptual orientation of contemporary art.
The artist’s approach synthesizes the traditional foundations provided by academic training with the critical and questioning attitude of contemporary art. This synthesis is neither a form of figuration rooted entirely in the past nor a pursuit of formal contemporaneity. Instead, it seeks to articulate an artistic practice that connects enduring existential concerns of humanity with the spirit of the present time.
