Brief Biography;
Who was İhsan Çakıcı? (1944-2026)
He was born in Akşehir in 1944. He completed his primary and secondary education there. After completing his art education at the Gazi Education Institute, Department of Painting and Art Education in 1969, he was appointed to the Tunceli Boys' Primary Teacher Training School.
In 1972, he passed the exam opened by the Ministry of National Education and became an assistant at the Gazi Education Institute, Department of Painting and Art Education. After 3 years of assistantship (1975), he was found successful by the commission and his permanent appointment was confirmed. He received his art proficiency in 1985 and the title of assistant professor in 1987. He retired from Gazi Education Faculty of Gazi University in 1999. He is currently teaching at the same institution on a paid basis. Since 1968, he has participated in numerous exhibitions both in Turkey and abroad, including state painting and sculpture exhibitions, DYO exhibitions, the "Contemporary Turkish Art Exhibition" within the framework of the 1st International Asian and European Art Biennial organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 1986, the "Ankara Plastic Artists Exhibition" organized by Hacettepe University and Çankaya Municipality in 1987, the "Mimar Sinan 400th Anniversary Exhibition" organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 1988, and the "Modern Turkish Painters Exhibition" organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dublin in 1998.
