A joint art exhibition was opened in Ankara on the occasion of Intellectuals' Day, which is celebrated as a public holiday in Bulgaria on November 1.

Bulgarian Ambassador to Ankara Anguel Tcholakov, BTA General Manager Kiril Valchev, painter Ivan Milushev and many guests attended the painting exhibition titled "Intimacy", hosted by the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) Press Club in Ankara and the Bulgarian Embassy in Ankara.

In his speech here, Ambassador Tcholakov said, "I am very happy and excited to host you at the first major cultural event of BTA Ankara's newly opened Press Club." he said.

Pointing out that the exhibition, which has a symbolic name, was held on a symbolic date, Tcholakov said, “Today is the great Bulgarian holiday, the day of public intellectuals. “This unique holiday has its own spirit.” he said.

Tcholakov congratulated the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey and thanked the guests for their participation.

BTA General Manager Valchev stated that the Press Club aims to contribute to the rapprochement of the Turkish-Bulgarian people and that Mustafa Kemal Atatürk said, "Getting along with our neighbors and all countries is the basis of Turkish politics." He referred to the statement.

Valchev said, “We see more than closeness in life in the works we present here with the Bulgarian Embassy in Ankara.” said.
