Assan Aluminum has combined sustainability with art by transforming its production scrap into works by Sanem Tufan and Ada Uzundede in the exhibition 'Reimagined + Art'.
Scrap aluminum from Assan Aluminum's production facilities comes to life in the hands of young artists Sanem Tufan and Ada Uzundede in the exhibition titled 'Reimagined + Art'. These works unite two different quests, ranging from the ancient memory of Anatolia to the poetic language of nature, in a common narrative. The exhibition awaits visitors at Galeri Selvin until December 8, 2025.
Assan Aluminum, operating under the umbrella of Kibar Holding, has combined its sustainability vision with art, transforming industrial waste into artistic expression. The works interpreted by Sanem Tufan and Ada Uzundede demonstrate that aluminum is not just a material, but also a cultural tool. Inspired by aluminum's 100% and infinitely recyclable nature, the project reinterprets circular economy principles from an artistic perspective.
The 'Re-Art + Art' exhibition, centering on the creativity of young artists, brings Assan Aluminum's approach of 'producing without consuming the future' to the field of culture and art. While operating in an industrial sector, the company emphasizes the social dimension of sustainability by supporting the productions of artists. Assan Aluminum General Manager Göksal Güngör stated that the transformation of scrap materials into artistic forms reveals the cultural power of aluminum.
Artist Sanem Tufan expressed that aluminum creates poetic emphases as it transforms into sculptures during the processing stage. Ada Uzundede, on the other hand, emphasized the connection between material transformation and human memory by bringing forgotten stories together with the re-formable nature of aluminum. The exhibition will continue to meet art lovers at Galeri Selvin until December 8, 2025.
