The 24th October Parade Interdisciplinary Exhibition, organized as part of the Republic's 102nd anniversary celebrations, was held at the Modern Arts Gallery with the participation of Kepez Mayor Mesut Kocagöz.
The 24th October Parade Interdisciplinary Exhibition, which combines love for the Republic and Atatürk with the unifying power of art, opened at the Kepez Municipality Modern Arts Gallery. Curated by Nevin Demirhan, the exhibition features 79 works by 25 artists. Initiated in 2002 by painter Gülsün Erbil, the October Parade exhibitions have been held simultaneously across Turkey for 23 years. This event, growing with respect for the founding values of the Republic and a love of art, continues to bring together artists from diverse disciplines under one roof.
IT'S NOT JUST THE BUILDINGS THAT KEEP A CITY ALIVE, BUT ITS ART-BEATING HEART
Kepez Mayor Mesut Kocagöz, who attended the exhibition opening, emphasized in his speech that art is a unifying force for society. Mayor Kocagöz said, “October Parade is not just an exhibition of paintings, sculptures, or photographs; it is an expression of the hope that people bring to society through their labor and imagination. It's not just the buildings that keep a city alive, it's its heart that beats with art. As Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk said, ‘A society without art has lost one of its veins. As the Kepez Municipality, we consider supporting art and artists one of our most important duties.” Emphasizing the healing and unifying aspect of art, Mayor Kocagöz thanked all the artists and everyone involved, stating that the exhibition adds value to Antalya.
The exhibition, hosted by the Kepez Municipality, can be visited free of charge at the Modern Arts Gallery. The exhibition will be open to art lovers from October 7–21, 2025.
