In 2006, she graduated from the Department of Fine Arts Education (Painting Major/Art Teaching) at Malatya İnönü University. While continuing her career as a Visual Arts teacher in schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education since 2007, she also pursues her artistic practice in her own studio. In 2025, she began her master’s degree studies in the Painting Department at Mersin University. She is also a member of the Association of United Painters and Sculptors. In addition to five solo exhibitions, she has participated with her works in numerous national and international group exhibitions and artistic events; her pieces are held in various institutions, collections, and galleries. Many of her works have been published in arts and culture magazines, and she has also taken part in events such as workshops and symposiums. The artist’s work is shaped by ecological sensitivity; series such as “Where Are My Trees?” and “Where Is My Habitat?” have come to the forefront of her practice.Artistic Perspective; In my view, art should address a universal or personal issue. The issue I focus on in my work is the destruction of the ecosystem through human-induced activities. In this era known as the Anthropocene—a time of peak human consumption—pollution affecting the sea, soil, air, and water causes fatal harm to all living beings, including humans. Forests destroyed for the sake of profit and similar reasons lead to the extinction of the animals inhabiting them. This is why I frequently use the form of the tree in my paintings; even when a tree withers, it continues to serve as a home for many animals. It is an undeniable fact that a living tree is vital for the shelter and sustenance of countless animals. To me, a tree is a sacred living being. For these reasons, I approach the issues addressed in my series titled “Where Are My Trees?” and “Where Is My Habitat?” with emotional and conceptual depth.
