    • Who is Canseven Bahçeci? (1974 – Hatay)Canseven Bahçeci was born in Hatay in 1974. She completed her primary and secondary education in Hatay. In 2005, she received 8 years of painting training at a painting workshop in Antakya. In 2014, she opened her own studio. Since 2014, she has been a member of the Aalen Culture and Art Association. As part of social entrepreneurship projects, she voluntarily gave painting courses to parents in village schools in Hatay. Her works are in private collections both in Turkey and abroad, and have also been used as cover images in numerous books and magazines.Art Perspective; For the artist, painting is not merely about colors transferred to the canvas; it is a philosophy of life that carries the spirit of civilizations, beliefs, and experiences. The artist, who deeply feels the streets that thousands of people walk every day with ordinary emotions “with an eye that no one else can see,” places the deep-rooted architectural and historical fabric of Antakya at the center of her creative process. In this artistic vision, the stone buildings that have witnessed countless social and personal events, and the door knockers and symbols on their street doors, are not simply objects. They are silent witnesses that transmit the socio-cultural structure, lifestyles, and philosophy of the people of that era to the future. According to the artist: “Every door is a secret, privacy, trust, love, passion, and pain; behind every door, life is lived in all its nakedness.”The artist creates himself by experiencing, feeling, and imagining the mystical and captivating effect of this precious geography. The warm-cold color contrasts he uses in his works prove that the painting is not an inanimate object. These color games, while containing the lived experiences, mystery, and secrets of the past, give his works the quality of a historical document to be inherited by the future. The artist, who defines his inner world as a “fairy tale world,” sometimes produces fantastic narratives and images with a fresh pink, sometimes a hopeful blue, and sometimes an energetic red. Blending the reality of history with the fantastic colors of imagination, it breathes the traces of the past into the spirit of today and tomorrow.Solo Exhibitions:2014 Canseven Painting Workshop, Antakya 2015 Hidden House ‘International Çukurova Art Days’ Antakya 2016 Hidden House ‘International Çukurova Art Days’ Antakya
