Eda Tekcan's "ECHOES – Echoes" Exhibition at Red Rouge Art
With her new solo exhibition, "ECHOES – Echoes," Eda Tekcan invites the viewer not just to observe, but to question the very act of seeing.
Red Rouge Art hosts a powerful exhibition, recorded between May 6th and 30th, built on rhythm and visual resonance. Eda Tekcan, known for her mastery in graphic arts and printmaking, invites the viewer to question the very act of seeing with her new solo exhibition, "ECHOES – Echoes."
Focusing on the artist's recent works, this series transforms the "echo" technique from a physical phenomenon into a mental and visual experience. Here, ECHO is not an external sound; it emerges as a "state of seeing" that develops, multiplies, and layers within.
The works visualize the question of "what is an echo?" while passing through fragments of a simple idea of repetition. Its form, its color transitions, reproduce the previous one while simultaneously changing. Thus, what emerges is not a repetition; it is a process that multiplies, transforms, and evolves.
With her new solo exhibition “ECHOES – Echoes,” Eda Tekcan invites the viewer not only to observe, but also to question the act of seeing itself. Focusing on the artist's recent works, this series transforms a physical phenomenon into a mental and visual experience through the “echo” technique. Here, ECHO is not an external sound; it appears to the viewer as a “state of seeing” that begins internally, multiplies, and layers. In this way, the exhibition's structure is perceived as simple visually. Forms that appear singular come together and multiply; they transform as they repeat. Like the rhythm of daily life, her works follow an internal order, creating continuity in the viewer.
