Ada Gallery is hosting Adviye Bal's solo exhibition inspired by Pi, the most mysterious constant in mathematics.
Ada Gallery, the new art hub of Nişantaşı, is hosting Adviye Bal's solo exhibition titled "Pi." Organized by Gi Art Project and curated by Gizem Günaçtı, the exhibition will be open to art lovers from April 10th to 26th.
The exhibition draws inspiration from the irrational and non-repeating nature of Pi, the most mysterious constant in mathematics. Bal interprets Archimedes' ancient circle calculations from a modern perspective on her circular canvases. The artist's figures are intertwined in a spiral arrangement and suspended between the opposing forces of the circle; this positions the works not merely as a geometric choice, but as an existential space.
By refusing to name her works, Adviye Bal stands against the fixation of meaning and blends a cosmological perspective with figurative mastery. The artist, who brings the energy overflowing from the canvas into the third dimension with bronze and stone sculptures, emphasizes the paradox of timelessness with the words, "In an environment where there is no matter, event, or starting point, how can there be time, let alone a moment?"
The exhibition opening will take place with a cocktail reception on Friday, April 10th at 6 PM. The exhibition, which brings together art and philosophy, can be visited at Ada Gallery in Ada Suites Nişantaşı between April 10th and 26th.
