The 'Citrus Season' selection, exhibited at the Türkiye İş Bankası Pozcu Branch, focused on a powerful cultural value that determines the rhythm of daily life in the Mediterranean.
The İş Sanat Anatolian Exhibitions, which brought together special selections from the Türkiye İş Bankası Art Collection, made its first stop of the new year in Mersin on January 24-25. The 'Citrus Season' selection, exhibited at the İş Bankası Pozcu Branch, presented a wide range of works from still life to landscape, showcasing the unique atmosphere of the Mediterranean climate to art lovers.
The selection included works by artists such as Nurettin Ergüven, İbrahim Çallı, Ercümend Kalmık, Numan Pura, Cevdet Bilgişin, Hasan Vecih Bereketoğlu, Ziya Keseroğlu, Ali Karsan, İlhami Demirci, Naciye İzbul, and Ayhan Dürrüoğlu, which were viewed with great interest. Art historian Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayşe Köksal explained the works reflecting the perspectives of different generations to visitors, while an art workshop for children was also organized.
The Anatolian Exhibitions, a regular activity of the Türkiye İş Bankası Painting and Sculpture Museum's learning programs, have reached over 4,000 art lovers to date. Beginning with a selection showcasing the works of İbrahim Çallı in the Çal district, the Anatolian Exhibitions have presented diverse selections such as Teachers and Students (Milas), In the Footsteps of Blue (Gelibolu), The Great Victory (Kocatepe), Familiar Faces (Antakya), Bazaar-Market (Midyat), Aegean Atmosphere (Edremit), and Secrets of Blue (İznik).
The Anatolian Exhibitions, which have received awards in various categories from MarCom, Sardis, the Social Benefit Awards, and the Istanbul Marketing Awards platforms, will continue to connect today's generations with the lands where our shared cultural heritage originated in the coming months. The February stop for the Anatolian Exhibitions will be the Türkiye İş Bankası Lüleburgaz Branch.
