Life and Education;
Born in Samsun in 1954, Atilla Akcagöz completed his art education at the Marmara University Department of Painting. After graduation, he worked as a painting teacher for about ten years; during this period, he both deepened his technical knowledge and established a strong connection with the educational aspect of art. His teaching experience formed the basis of the disciplined drawing approach and sense of structure seen in Akcagöz’s paintings.

Art Life and Exhibitions;
Akcagöz has been actively involved in the art world since the late 1970s.
Between 1977 and 1979, he held solo exhibitions at the Taksim Art Gallery; In addition, he has presented his works to art audiences by participating in various group exhibitions held in Istanbul. Winning an Honorable Mention Award at the Vakko Fabric Design Competition in 1979 shows that the artist’s drawing skills and proficiency in surface composition were appreciated from an early age.
