The artist expresses her thoughts on the exhibition with these words:

“I invite the viewer to confront both their childlike and adult selves as they pass through thresholds, doors, and dark corridors. Stepping outside the comfort of the visible world into the unknown is a painful but transformative experience. This exhibition is an effort to make visible the resistance within silence, the strength hidden in fragility, and the search for one's own path.” Using symbols such as light, shadow, dry trees, and roads in her works, Alkan questions the return to the spiritual nature of the urban individual. In this respect, the exhibition offers not only a visual but also an intellectual experience.
