Bringing together the works of newly graduated artists from across Türkiye with art lovers under one roof, the 9th edition of BASE has begun at The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Istanbul, Block B, under the sponsorship of Habertürk and Bloomberg HT's media group.

Base, organized for nine years with the mission of supporting the creativity and creative motivation of newly graduated artists and fostering their dialogue with art professionals and audiences, will present the works of artists graduating from 2025 to art lovers until November 30th.

With Bilgili Holding as the main venue sponsor, Habertürk and Bloomberg HT's media group sponsor, The Ritz-Carlton Residences hosted, and Trendyol Sanat as the main sponsor; Co-sponsored by Jumbo, Kale Design and Art Center (KTSM), and TEB Private Banking, with public support from IBB Kültür AŞ, BASE, now in its ninth year, showcases the world and art perspectives of a new generation of artists.

As in previous years, BASE, Türkiye's only comprehensive exhibition of newly graduated artists, has curatorially framed its 9th edition around "Borders and Possibilities."

Base, which annually features a diverse selection committee comprised of distinguished figures from the art world, evaluated the 2025 applications. Ani Çelik Arevyan, Canan Dağdelen, Canan Tolon, Derya Yücel, Ebru Yetişkin, Eda Kehale Argün, Ferda Dedeoğlu, Gürbüz Doğan Ekşioğlu, Guido Casaretto, İnci Furni, İrfan Önürmen, İsmet Doğan, M. Wenda Koyuncu, Necmi Sönmez, Pınar Öğrenci, and Selim Bilen.

Offering a stage for young talents at the beginning of their careers, BASE brings together the works of 151 newly graduated artists from 43 universities across 36 cities under one roof this year.

BASE 2025 will showcase the works of over 150 young artists who graduated from Turkish universities in the fields of painting, sculpture, photography, video, printmaking, traditional Turkish arts, graphic design, visual communication design, animation, glass and ceramics, textiles, architecture, and interior architecture.

The selection of works from diverse disciplines focuses on themes such as identity, memory, belonging, and the perceptual transformation of the digital age, presenting a rich narrative that illuminates the intersection of personal experience and collective memory.

A RICH PROGRAM AWAITS ART LOVERS
Open to the public free of charge every day from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM until November 30th, BASE is hosting six other concurrent exhibitions in addition to its main exhibition.

Visitors can: Visitors can also visit exhibitions such as BASELECTED 2025, which presents current productions by artists who have passed through BASE; "Guest Country Romania," which focuses on Romanian contemporary art; "Take Good Care of Your World," which explores the theme of sustainability; and "Memory of the Table," which focuses on table culture.
