Painter Devrim Demiral's solo exhibition, titled "Romantic," brings together his recent works and opened to art lovers at the Evrim Art Gallery in Kadıköy on November 22nd. The exhibition, which will be on view until December 10, 2025, aims to reinterpret the aesthetic and intellectual legacy of modernism through the lens of Romanticism.
Demiral, who uses Romanticism's critical perspective as a tool against the insensitivity created by the age in his works, constructs a narrative around the concept of "new romanticisms." The artist states that his works are not merely visual representations but also part of a new aesthetic quest through the relationship between form and meaning.
The exhibition will be open to the public until December 10th.
Devrim Demiral, a graduate of the Painting Department at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and a graduate of the same university, has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. The artist, who teaches at various universities, continues his work in his studio in Istanbul.
The "Romantic" exhibition will be open to the public at the Evrim Art Gallery in Caddebostan until December 10, 2025.
