Painter Mehmet Ali Doğan presented his exhibition "Bounded Spaces: Shamanic Visuals," a collection of acrylic paintings on canvas, to art lovers at the Sanko Art Gallery.

Gaziantep Provincial Deputy Director of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Aykanat, speaking at the opening, stated that art has no boundaries and that supporting art and artists is crucial for the future of societies.

Emphasizing that art is the whole of life, artist Mehmet Ali Doğan explained that he exhibited works he created by transforming his own concepts throughout his time.

Explaining that stripes and textures enhance the narrative in these works, Doğan explained that he creates his paintings by observing the way energy twists and turns objects, guiding them to find the beauty in nature.

Doğan emphasized that no matter how guiding boundaries are in life, they also harbor the unbearable curiosity, excitement, enthusiasm, hope, and fear of the unknown beyond, and continued:

"This work demonstrates that, no matter how much one believes oneself to be like others, one must live within the boundaries created by oneself, no matter how colorful and alluring. However, the inevitable—that dreams, quests, different worlds, new paradigms, and new sets of values—will always exist in the unknown beyond these boundaries—is presented through aesthetic visual arrangements."

Emphasizing that geometric forms form the cornerstone of his works, and that people capable of expressing the love and emotions within their souls are at the pinnacle of beauty, aesthetics, and elegance, Doğan continued:

"We see the human body striving to achieve the most flawless and perfect. It's almost like a superlative expression of existence. When spiritual and physical strength, willpower, determination, labor, and intelligence combine with aesthetic sense and artistic talent, a person reaches beyond all emotions and the soul. The power of art is revealed. The wounds and holes in the paintings tell of the blows a person has suffered. Art expresses much more than what is apparent."

Expressing his pleasure at bringing his works to art lovers in Gaziantep, Doğan said, "Private galleries play a crucial role in bringing art to every corner of our country. I thank the management of SANKO Art Gallery for being a pioneer in this regard and hosting my works."

Following the speeches, Gaziantep Provincial Deputy Director of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Aykanat presented Mehmet Ali Doğan with a publication titled "Zeugma Fırat's Necklace" on behalf of SANKO Holding.

The exhibition opening was attended by SANKO Park Shopping Mall General Manager Sait Can Gizir, SANKO Art Gallery Executive Board Vice President Cengiz Halil Çiçek, Executive Board Member Murat Köylüoğlu, and art enthusiasts.

Mehmet Ali Doğan's "Bounded Spaces: Shamanic Visuals" art exhibition, featuring 26 of his works, will be open to the public on the third floor of SANKO Park Shopping Mall between 12:00 PM and 8:00 PM daily until December 5, 2025.
