Güneş Özmen's new exhibition, "RANDOMINIUM," based on coincidence, probability, and intuitive processes, will be presented to art lovers at Arthan Gallery from December 6th to January 6th, accompanied by curator Nuray Özler Yolcu.

Inspired by stochastic thought, the exhibition aims to transcend the predictable boundaries of determinism and reveal the creative potential of uncertainty in the creative process. Özmen layers the images formed at the intersection of the conscious and the unconscious through memory, impressions of nature, and direct contact with the material. For the artist, canvas and paper are not merely surfaces; they become a space where possibilities, fluidities, and coincidental trends materialize.

Curator Nuray Özler Yolcu describes "RANDOMINIUM" as a field of exploration exploring the aesthetic and intellectual implications of coincidence. Each work in the exhibition sits on the permeable boundary between calculated intervention and spontaneous effect, inviting the viewer into a creative dialogue founded on uncertainty.

Artist Güneş Özmen says the following about her work:
“The relationship I have established with the material over time has brought about random stains, fluid forms, and coincidental signs that shape the direction of the production. Throughout the process, I positioned myself not only as a guide but also as a subject who follows and acts in concert with the clues presented by the material. Every trace transferred from consciousness to the surface was shaped at this coincidental intersection.”

About the Artist:
Born in Istanbul in 1982, Güneş Özmen graduated from the Painting Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts at MSÜ in 2004 and subsequently studied fresco in Italy. Having completed her master's degree at MSÜ in 2008, the artist continues her work in Istanbul. Özmen participates in domestic and international fairs and exhibitions. In his works, he combines random natural abstractions with textural surfaces that bear the traces of his long-standing relationship with the material.

Rüstem Pasha Caravanserai "Kurşunlu Han"

Kurşunlu Han, built in 1561 by Mimar Sinan, has witnessed numerous transformations from past to present. Historically known as the site of St. Michele Cathedral and serving as a caravanserai, the building is now a living cultural center, bringing together tradesmen, production workshops, artists, artisans, and designers under one roof. Kurşunlu Han continues to exist by blending its rich history with contemporary productions.
