As Mine Art Gallery celebrates its 40th anniversary in Turkish contemporary art in 2025, it is hosting another project that provides a space for young artists. Curated by Devabil Kara, a long-time collaborator of the gallery and a faculty member at Marmara University's Faculty of Fine Arts, the exhibition, titled "8 + 1 Practical Moment," brings together the work of young artists who collaborate with Kara.

Bringing together the works of eight artists: Elif Atılır, Mavi Melike Çatkın, Berivan Delibaş, Ali Can Kocayiğit, Tarık Okşar, Sıla Öztürk, Gizem Sayan, and Elif Yapıcılar, the exhibition creates a space of solidarity and sharing centered on Kara's identity as an artist and teacher. The work of eight artists, each developing their own language and approach, bears the traces of their dialogue with the curator while also illuminating the impact of contemporary art on the younger generation. Reflecting on the transience of art, the aesthetics of the moment, and the transformative potential of practice, this exhibition invites the viewer not only to observe but also to experience. The works in the exhibition, with an approach that celebrates the aesthetics of the moment and spontaneous production, offer an alternative perspective on the production and consumption of contemporary art. In this sense, "Practical Moment" is not merely an exhibition; it also offers a conceptual framework through which a new understanding of art can be discussed.

The exhibition, which opened on Thursday, August 7th, can be visited at the Mine Art Gallery EXPERIMENTAL in Göztepe until August 22nd.
