Evin Art Gallery "Backwards" exhibition at Casa dell'Arte
Evin is returning to Casa dell'Arte Bodrum after many years! This special exhibition, "Backwards," brings together works by Rahmi Aksungur, Setenay Alpsoy, Kader Genç, Hakan Gürsoytrak, Ilgaz Gürün, Temür Köran, Emin Turan, Devin Oktar Yalkın, and Mehmet Sinan Yücel. It pays tribute to past artistic collaborations, shared values, and friendships etched in the venue's memory.
Evin held its hotel's inaugural exhibition in 2007 and then opened its doors to the public for a second time in this unique venue in 2016. The friendship forged years ago around art between the Büyükkuşoğlu Family, who founded Casa dell’Arte, and the İyem Family, who founded Evin, is now evolving into an innovative collaboration that extends into the future with the participation of new generations.

The “Returning” exhibition, the third installment of this long-standing relationship, draws from the shared memory of these two established institutions and is strengthened by the bonds forged by new generations. Evin’s approach, focused on strengthening the art-society relationship, reconnects with Casa dell’Arte’s vision of a life intertwined with art.
This exhibition also serves as the first step in a series of projects accompanying Evin’s 30th anniversary, which it will celebrate throughout the 2025-2026 season. This journey from past to present will continue to grow with new productions, collective memories, and meaningful encounters.
The title “Returning” introduces an ambiguous layer to the exhibition’s conceptual framework. While the act of returning points to a spatial and emotional remembrance, it also emphasizes that returning in time is impossible, and that we can only connect with the past through today's experience and perspective. Through the multiple meanings offered by this encounter, the exhibition invites us to consider the possibilities of remembrance and return together.

As part of the Return exhibition, the application process and updated conditions for the Nuri İyem Painting Award, which will be reshaped in 2026 in collaboration with Evin and Büyükkuşoğlu, will also be announced to the public for the first time.
Evin and Casa dell'Arte invite all art lovers to this special gathering, to remember and recreate together. Taking place in Torba, one of Bodrum's old fishing villages, surrounded by the sea and sun, this exhibition promises a delightful and inspiring experience, immersed in art.
