The "Arirang Silk Road: Transcending Existence" exhibition, which showcases the beauty of Arirang through Korean contemporary art, opened at the Korean Cultural Center.
The exhibition, featuring works by five Korean and one Turkish artists, was attended by numerous art lovers at its opening on Friday, August 8th at 5:00 PM.
THE WORKS REFLECT THE BEAUTY OF ARIRANG
In his opening remarks, Jeon Seung-chul, General Manager of the Korean Cultural Center, said, “I sincerely welcome you all for attending the exhibition held at our Center in August 2025.
Today, we had the opportunity to introduce you to Korean contemporary art through the exhibition "Arirang Silk Road: Transcending Existence" by hosting Mr. Seo Seseung, Chairman of the Chilgok Culture and Arts Commission, along with esteemed artists Go Geumhwa, Park Jongtae, Lee Joung Won, Lim Mimi, and Coşkun.” Online art courses
Seungchul stated that this exhibition features various works showcasing Arirang, saying, “Arirang has been examined from an artistic perspective and presented through the philosophical axes of ‘A (I),’ ‘Ri (truth),’ and ‘Rang (light),’ in an effort to expand Arirang’s universal sensitivity to the common emotions of humanity. There are also works that visually reflect Arirang’s beauty and existential thought.” Online art courses
Seungchul explained that four artists, along with Mr. Seo Seseung, Chairman of the Chilgok Culture and Arts Committee, were participating in this event. He said, “We hope you will have the opportunity to understand Arirang through art, through contemporary artworks by artists affiliated with the Chilgok Culture and Arts Committee and the works of Turkish artist Coşkun. The exhibition will be open to the public at the Korean Cultural Center, Paris Street No. 74, from August 8th to September 5th.
