The "Master's Degree Painting Workshop Exhibition" consisting of works by the Master's Degree students of the Painting Department of the Graduate Education Institute met with art lovers at the Painter Mehmet Yücetürk Art Gallery.

The opening of the exhibition was attended by BAİBÜ Graduate Education Institute Vice President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Yakar, Fine Arts Faculty Vice Deans Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gülten Kurt and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özden Gezer Oğuz, as well as academicians, students and many art lovers.

The opening speech of the exhibition was made by the faculty member responsible for the exhibition and Head of the Painting Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Melek Akyürek. In her speech, Akyürek said, "Today, we are not just opening an exhibition. Perhaps, we are sharing the traces of a journey," and drew attention to the creative and personal process behind the exhibition. She emphasized that painting at the graduate level goes beyond technical questions and brings up more difficult and personal questions such as "What am I telling?" and "Why am I telling it this way?" Saying “Art often speaks from where words are silent,” Akyürek stated that his students not only learned this language but also shaped it according to themselves.

At the end of the event, certificates of participation were given to the students who participated in the exhibition by the Assistant Director of the Graduate Education Institute Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Yakar.
