'Transformation' exhibition by Metin Talayman

Master artist Metin Talayman's retrospective exhibition titled 'Transformation' will meet art lovers at Ziraat Bank Çukurambar Art Gallery until January 15, 2024.
Ziraat Bank Çukurambar Art Gallery continues to be the meeting point for art lovers in Ankara with its painting and sculpture exhibitions of valuable artists. The gallery started to host the 'Transformation' retrospective exhibition of the master artist Metin Talayman, who passed away in 1999.

The curator of the exhibition is Prof. Dr. Kıymet Giray gave information about Talayman's works and said: “Metin Talayman's works, which are figurative expressions, are full of problems that people try to cope with. It examines and questions pain from an existential perspective and makes references that resist society's insensitivity to this pain. Metin Talayman's artistic discipline is determined by the fact that he gives importance to plastic values even in the most violent and depressive works of his compositions, which are works of series that can be considered as rebellion against adversity. While Talayman takes care to meticulously use lyrical color values in his compositions, which he creates by paying attention to the harmony of his aesthetic sensitivity, he also manages to reflect tensions compatible with expressionist theories on his canvases. By attributing psychological and symbolic meanings to the color spots that emphasize the forms that determine the themes of his paintings, he creates compositions that stand against the tense troubles being experienced. His paintings are works of art with deep content that convey the difficulties of life and the hopes of happiness.”

Metin Talayman's painting exhibition titled 'Transformation' can be seen at Ziraat Bank Çukurambar Art Gallery between 10.00 - 22.00 until January 15, 2024.
